I have always loved certain kinds of abstract art, as well as landscapes. In my own designs I look for contrasts that are unique...to me at least...and oftentimes a bit on the edge, or far out...maybe could be from another planet, inside the planet, or inter-dimensional.
Hey! I am a writer you know. And we gotta go where the imagination genie takes us!
This gallery is a split of landscapes and abstracts. Some are a bit out there, even to me, but I included them so you could get a whiff of the directions my mind meanders to when it's creating or not...as it turns out sometimes.
As usual, the images are a combination of numerous programs that I utilize to create my grand tour of the abstract and landscape universe.
One thing I love to do the most is take ordinary every day materials, such as a stone material, or glass, then spin it off in a hundred different directions and combinations until I have sometime totally different.
You may well ask why does a writer need to have all these images up here on an author's blog, and my witty response will be: because I also illustrate my stories. So there! Take that!
But all kidding aside, at least partially, I'm used to being a one man band, and the idea of giving up any portion of my creative universe is painful to me.
When time allows I'll shoot up here a whole gallery of just book covers I've designed, so you can see how I use a lot of my artwork to create those as well.
