I hate to say this, but this wonderful production team only made 17 episodes, which is a great treasure and a loss to all of us Superman buffs.
I will never forget the stunning imagery, the power and force of these cartoons. I do believe they stirred my heart and mind and helped me to find courage to face some pretty hefty obstacles.
Rest in peace Max and Richard Fleischer and all the crew and cast of this wonderful animation series.

The Mummy has been a fascination for many over the decades and this adaptation featuring Superman is a splendid and colorful action packed animation that is the kind of Superman I grew up with. Courageous and honorable. Not nuanced by our darker traits, but ennobled by our higher ones.

This eight-minute animated short, produced by Fleischer Studios, features Superman's adventures in saving a small island community from a volcanic eruption. It was originally released on July 10, 1942 by Paramount Pictures.
