If you missed tonight's viewing of Extant, look for it when it comes on again. It was a very powerful new sci-fi whodunit show in the vein of X-Files and Fringe.
I absolutely loved it. Can't say enough good things about it.
It's got antigravity, robots, maybe aliens and a woman who gets pregnant by something that's not even there. A mystery and a lot of sub plots that are very interesting to watch.
The show starts off after Halle's return home from a space station assignment where the power goes off mysteriously for nineteen hours. Tapes are erased of the event, and she has no memory of having erased them.
As the show proceeds we learn she is pregnant, but no one was up there with her.
Even later on, when she realizes something had happened and she looks at tapes of the time period, there is nothing there.
It's got a lot of strange things happening, like a child that is hers which is a robot and may or may not be dangerous; a dead astronaut that comes back to make love with her; and another dead one that comes to warn her, not to mention someone being hatched from some kind of cloning tank.
All weird, intriguing and fascinating sci-fi. So much like X-Files and Fringe that if you liked those you'll love this!
