The Quatermass movie is based on a series of episodic, serials that the BBC released back in the sixties. They were quite revolutionary for their time in the way that they dealed with alien technology, and the facing of beings from another world.
I remember watching them and thinking, wow!
But of course, since then we've been wowed by Forbidden Planet, Alien and then Aliens, and so many more types of encounters from other worlds that Quatermass may appear a bit quaint to modern viewers who are accustomed to extreme violence and gore as part of their movie menu.
So here in blazing color is the last serial in movie form which was actually quite good. To me.
