Even though we're past this stupid piece of nonsense that the end of the world sillies keep wishing would happen to us because they don't want to deal with their lives, I thought I'd add it as a reminder to be humble.
Just because something quacks like a duck, doesn't always make it a duck.
The end of the world happens every day for abused women, war victims, pets left in hot cars, people caught in hurricanes, earthquakes, tidal waves and other natural calamities.
I could go on, but why?
I watched the latest episode of America's Got Talent and was saddened by the loss of some of the contestants and happy for others. Just like a good movie, or a great book, heroes are born and heroes die. So it is with competitions. I really feel the talented ones who didn't get picked to go on will survive and prosper if they don't give up.
Also, after the above, I watched the latest episode of Halle Berry's Extant. That show has me cursing and laughing, weeping and yelling. It's so darned frustrating watching the people do such stupid things and yet there I am caught up in it along with the heroes and villains. Don't ask me why I like this show, other than Halle Berry's outstanding performance.
If you haven't watched the series, check it out. It's on Wednesday nights at 10pm on CBS.
